Learn To Skate
Our fire alarm system includes monitors to detect noxious gases, and an alarm will sound if harmful levels are detected. Other rink maintenance equipment, including our scissor lift, forklift and ice edger, are also electric. Our facility is equipped with a defibrillator and basic first aid supplies. We offer no guarantees regarding the quality or timeliness of medical care at our rink.

In the event of a medical emergency, our staff has been directed to call 911 for an ambulance from the nearest possible provider. The closest hospital is Carolinas Medical Center in Pineville, which is 1.5 miles from our rink. Please apply through our Employment Page if you are interested in joining the Pineville Ice House and Pineville Falcons coaching staff. The Pineville Ice House provides year round hockey, figure skating and recreational skating opportunities to the Charlotte community. Beginner skating for teens and adults interested in hockey, figure skating or just skating for fun. The Early Spring session will be 8 sessions. $15 discount when you register before February 23. We use an Olympia IceBear electric ice resurfacer which generates no Carbon Monoxide emissions. Other rink maintenance equipment, including our forklift, scissor lift and ice edger, are also electric. Our Munters dehumidifier includes a fresh air intake and runs continuously to circulate air in the rink.

Adult Pickup Hockey
Check our Public Skating Schedule for our regular weekday, weekend, and holiday sessions. Public Skating is ideal for birthday parties, group events, family outings, and date nights. Beginner skating skills for children ages 6 and up interested in hockey or figure skating.
Memberships run annually July 1-June 30. USA Hockey endorses our Hockey Learn To Skate class. Weekly day camp focused on skating and ice sports.
Charlotte Douglas International Airport is 16 miles and uptown Charlotte is 14 from our rink. An Unaccompanied Minor is any customer under age 18 that is not accompanied by a parent or guardian. For the safety and enjoyment of all our customers, Unaccompanied Minors are subject to additional rules and restrictions.
Our Youth League runs year round as Fall, Spring and Summer seasons. The Pineville Youth Hockey League (PYHL) is a recreational hockey league for youth players through age 16. Admission includes hockey or figure skates, toddler through adult sizes. Public Skating is open to all ages and skill levels. Rental figure and hockey skates are available.
Just $15 to skate around as long as you want, and their food and bar are really great, too. The Charlotte Rush are a Tier III Junior Hockey Program that plays in the USPHL. They have teams playing in both the Elite & Premier Divisions. In the Season, both the Elite & Premier Teams won the USPHL National Championship.
Really nice staff, have been coming here for years. I love to come with siblings or with friends, and it's always a great time. Lots of people are here regularly, so be prepared for that. But otherwise, the price is great for what you get!

Unfortunately, public skating times are only during the week now and are shorter. The rental skates are really nice for a public rink!
